Let’s start with a silver laminate blazer covered with the name of the two brands in Balenciaga font, to arrive at a brown balzer with an all-over Gucci monogram, on which the Balenciaga logo is printed in the same way in white. Returning to the “The hacker project” collection, we see how Alessandra Michele and Demna Gvasalia have created a perfect mix between the two historical brands. In the latest campaign shot by Balenciaga (led by Ikeuchi Hiroto) we find accessories in full Gucci style such as the monogram tote bag with green and red lines, which instead of the Gs has Balenciaga B’s. The same was done by Demna Gvasalia, Balenciaga creative director, with typical Gucci codes. The title of the collection is in fact “The hacker project” because Alessandro Michele, Gucci creative director, created the garments of the collection “stealing” some traits of the Balenciaga brand.

Today, November 15, 2021, the collection created by Gucci in collaboration with Balenciaga will arrive in 74 pop-up stores around the world.
